Troop 304 Membership and Leadership Policy

The Committee of Troop 304 will continue to choose leaders of excellent character who can make contributions to Scouting.  Sexual orientation, race, and religious beliefs are irrelevant to being a member of Troop 304.  All boys aged 11 - 17 are welcome to join the troop, and all boys and girls age 13 - 21 are welcome to join the Venture Crew.  All adults interested in and capable of making a contribution are also welcome to join.

Higginbottom Pool

Troop members are invited to come to Higginbottom Swimming Pool on Friday, October 13 at 6:30- 9p.m. The reasons are (1) to have fun, (2) To get a swim test, and (3) to do advancement. Every scout AND adult who wishes to go on the canoe trip must have a scout swim test in the previous 12 months. We are also planning to check scouts off for the Second class (5 a, b, c, d) and First class (6 a, e) rank requirements. Cost is $5 if you do not have a recreation pass.

Islesboro Maine Camping & Biking Trip - May 19th-21st

Friday: Drive up in the evening (3.5-4 hrs) to camp in Camden Hills State Park.

Saturday: Morning bike 4.2 miles to the Lincolnville ferry dock and take a 20 min ferry to the island. Join bike tour A (8 miles) through the mid-island villages or tour B (18 miles) to the northern tip and through the villages. Sandwiches, drinks and snacks are available at general stores along the bike routes. Camp Saturday night at the state park  

Eagle Court Of Honor to honor our new Eagle Scouts (April 8, 3-5pm)

There will be an Eagle Court of Honor at the Beech Street Center in Belmont, MA at 3-5 PM on Saturday, April 8 to honor 5 new Troop 304 Eagle Scouts:
