Troop 304 NEWS - 2000-2001 Camping Trips

October 13 -15
This month we attended the CampOree hosted by our own Minuteman Council. The CampOree is an opportunity to camp with other troops and test our scouting knowledge. Over 500 Boy Scouts camped through the weekend and we were visited by almost 1,000 Cub Scouts on the Saturday. The weather for this year's CampOree was fantastic and fun was had by all!  

September 22th-24th
On this camping trip we returned to the White Mountains where we held a successful backpacking trip in June 1999. The weather was colder this time of the year, so we were not able to swim as much as we would have wished! Many Scouts arrived Friday (the 22nd) and hiked in with flashlights during the early evening hours. They then were ready for a 10 mile hike the next day!
