Troop 304 Campout at Camp Sayre

Camp Sayre is off of Route 95, less than an hour from Belmont. It is a well outfitted camp with both lean-tos and cabins. We stayed in the lean-tos and spent Saturday hiking up to the top of the Blue Hills.

	Before any hike, the Scoutmaster must have his coffee!

	At the top of the Blue Hills is this old stone lookout tower.
	The tower provides quite a view of Boston and the surrounding area.
	The tower also provided a resting point before returning home.
	It started to rain as we arrived back to our camp.
	Keeping warm, meant starting a fire! The first step was to find dry wood....
	Larger wood had to be split.
	The Camp provided two neat fire pits that reflected the heat into the lean-tos.
